What we do

We are helping people secure social care today while gathering evidence for lasting systemic change.

Why it matters

When people can't access the care they need, lives are limited, families are stretched, and inequalities deepen.

What makes us special

Every day, we help people understand and enforce rights. We capture evidence from these experiences to challenge barriers and influence decision-makers to create lasting improvements in adult social care.

We prevented a local authority from cutting 4 people’s care packages by 50% - protecting their wellbeing and their support worker’s jobs

  • Elderly man

We secured an uplift of direct payments for a group of people in receipt of care in the community.

  • Two women smiling

We prevented local authorities from moving people into older person’s homes when they failed to carry out best interest assessments or appoint advocates.

We prevented a local authority from imposing an unlawful policy that prevented people from accessing direct payments.

Hear from the
people we’ve supported

Thank you again for all your help - you have been such a wonderful support during a really challenging time. I am now keeping everything crossed and hopeful that things will settle and A will thrive in her new home.

Caseworker

I found your service and communication fantastic and cannot thank you enough. The letter that you sent to the council prior to the best interest meeting ensured clear conversations were had and I think that helped greatly. Thank you for your help.

Family carer

I have used some of the terminology today in an email to the local authority and within a couple of hours I had secured 2:1 funding which was what was needed.
