Our Values and Principles at Access Social Care

Our values are what we stand for and our principles guide how we act. Our ‘we’ statements show how we bring this to life in our behaviour with each other. Together, they shape our culture, decisions, and impact.

Our Values

  • Trustworthy - Recognised for excellence, we will be the best we can be in everything we do. We will be truthful, independent and outcomes focussed.

  • Fair - We believe in treating people with kindness and compassion in a way that is right, reasonable, and just.

  • Fearless - We will do what is right, not what is easy. We will bravely challenge injustice.

  • Inclusive - The voices of carers and people who draw on social care will influence our thinking and decision making at all levels of our organisation. Collaborative in our thinking we will work with others to achieve our goals.

  • Positive - We will be constructive and progressive in our challenge. We will optimistically and dynamically drive for change.

Our benefits

At Access Social Care, we value our  employees and offer a range of benefits to enhance your experience with us.

Flexible Working

We champion flexibility, encouraging you to work with your  line manager to find a working pattern that best fits your professional commitments and your personal life, whether its for family, or working during your most productive times. Our Remote Working Model offers flexibility in both schedules and work environments. We provide our colleagues with the equipment they need to work comfortably and collaboratively from home.

There is also the availability of a London based workspace, offering a comfortable and conducive environment for work.

Additionally, we host bi-annual in-person events, with a hybrid option to ensure inclusivity for all team members.

Annual and Christmas Leave

We believe a healthy work life balance is key to wellbeing. That’s why we offer 29 days of annual leave plus public holidays to give you plenty of  time to relax and recharge. (For part-time staff, annual leave and public holidays are calculated on a pro rata basis). Our organisation closes from Christmas Day to New Years Day, and this is included within the 29 days, so you can fully enjoy the festive season with loved ones.

We also offer the option to purchase additional leave at certain points during year.

Pension

We offer two pension options for staff:

  • Default Scheme: A ‘qualifying earning scheme’ where a small deduction from earnings meets the auto-enrolment threshold.

  • Salary Sacrifice Scheme: You can contribute as much as you’d like.

In both cases, employer contributions are matched at 5%.

Employee Assistance Programme (EAP)

Balancing work, home life, and personal challenges can be tough. That’s why we provide free, confidential wellbeing and mental health support through Health Assured. Whether you need help managing stress, debt, or anything else, you can access support 24/7, 365 days a year. Health Assured services include a confidential helpline, the Wisdom app, and an online portal with a  range of wellbeing tools to support your overall wellness.
