Access Social Care Annual Report for 2025-2026
This year, we continued to deliver against our strategy to Empower through legal education, Enforce the law and use Challenge to influence policy and practice.
Through our community work, legal services, digital innovation and systems change activity, we supported individuals to better understand and exercise their rights while also working to address the wider barriers that prevent people from accessing the support they need.
We saw significant growth in the reach of AccessAva, our free digital service, with conversations increasing by 215% during the year.
Our legal team supported people across more than 560 matters, while our community programmes continued to strengthen awareness of social care rights and improve local systems through partnership and co-production.
These achievements reflect the commitment and expertise of our staff, volunteers, members, partners and supporters.
As we look ahead, we remain committed to our vision: a society where everyone gets the social care they need and have a right to. Following his recent appointment as Prime Minister, Andy Burnham has explicitly declared adult social care to be one of the government's top priorities.
We look forward with hope to working alongside the government to create a fairer, more sustainable social care system for future generations. We know there is much more to do, but we are confident that by working together, we can continue to champion social care justice and drive lasting change
