Care planning
After a needs assessment, a local authority must review the information and decide whether or not to provide services for the older or disabled person. The authority will do this by determining whether their needs meet the national eligibility criteria. If the local authority determines that they do have eligible needs for support, then they should be involved in the care planning process in order for them to make important decisions about the type of support that they would like to receive.
